Ibn Mas`ud reported from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet said concerning this Ayah :
﴿وَقُرْءَانَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْءَانَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا﴾
(and recite the Qur’an in the early dawn. Verily, the recitation of the Qur’an in the early dawn is ever witnessed.)
(It is witnessed by the angels of the night and the angels of the day.)
With many late nights and cold nights.
The struggle to wake up for fajr, can sometimes be real.
As I lay on my bed, I recite my bedtime du’a.
I set my alarm and I intend to be up before sunrise.
My alarm goes off.
‘Haiya ‘Alas salah, Haiya ‘Alal falah.
Aasaalatu Khayrum Minan Nauum.’
I wake up to pray Fajr salah.
For I know my recitation will be witnessed.
I pray to my lord for success.
I pray to Him for protection.
I pray to Him in obedience.
With hope that my sins will be erased.
A way to connect to HIM seeking closeness.
An opportunity for me to wipe out my sins.
With its immense virtues Allahu Akbar!
My Creator is indeed the greatest.
